I love this moment because it brings together many of the reasons I love being a wedding photographer. It’s not every day you are able to capture the spritz of perfume mid-air, nor do we typically see the perfume in the air with our naked eye. It was exciting to be able to put my technical knowledge of photography to use and freeze such a quick moment. Additionally, I’ve noticed over the years that it’s often times the little moments that impact our couples so much on the day of their wedding. They’ve anticipated the walk down the aisle to be an emotional moment, but not putting on their perfume. For us ladies, perfume is typically one of the last things we do while getting ready. On a wedding day, this meant it was the final thing Hannah did before seeing the love of her life for the first time. Executing a creative eye and technical know-how to document a fleeting moment amidst a busy day is a big part of why I’m a wedding photographer.
